January 25, 2021 - N-iX, a leading software development company, announces it has achieved the AWS Kinesis Designation, part of the AWS Service Delivery Program. This designation recognizes that the company has demonstrated a successful track record delivering AWS Kinesis solutions. Thus, N-iX has become one of only 19 Kinesis providers in the world recommended by AWS.

The AWS Service Delivery Program is designed to validate AWS Partners that have a deep understanding of AWS services, vast experience, and proven customer success in delivering these services to customers. To receive the AWS service designation, APN partners undergo a rigorous validation process. This validation gives customers complete confidence in choosing the right partner from the thousands of providers in the AWS Partner Network.

Achieving the AWS Kinesis designation differentiates N-iX as an AWS Partner Network (APN) member that is well-equipped to assist AWS customers with AWS Kinesis services, such as real-time data streaming on AWS, building scalable data lakes, loading and analyzing streaming data, building custom streaming data applications, and more.

N-iX is excited to be certified as an Amazon Kinesis Partner and recognized for our continued AWS service delivery excellence. AWS Kinesis is one of many AWS technologies N-iX is proficient in. Yet, this direction and our experts’ vast experience in collecting, processing, and analyzing streaming data have been especially valued by our clients who rely on us in getting valuable business insights from their data.

N-iX has been helping companies across the globe build scalable cloud applications for years, and in 2020 the company achieved the AWS Consulting Partner status. We’ve been investing heavily in our cloud services, developing our talents, improving our offering, diversifying our portfolio, and ensuring the highest service quality for our customers. Today, we have over 300 cloud engineers and more than 80 successfully delivered AWS projects, and we have ambitious plans for the future, says Orest Furhala, Head of Partnerships at N-iX.

End-to-end development of a Big Data Platform for Gogo

Gogo has been a North American market leader in air-to-ground connectivity for over 20 years. Gogo needed to improve the quality of its in-flight Internet. Its satellite antennas often malfunctioned, which led to paying penalties to the airlines, unnecessary downtime, and wasted costs. Therefore, Gogo initiated a complex data governance project in order to ensure the flawless operation of the equipment and high speed of the in-flight Internet.

Together with the client, N-iX completely migrated Gogo data solutions to the AWS cloud and shut down its costly on-premises infrastructure. The team built a unified AWS-based data platform that collects and aggregates data from 20 different sources and can process up to 3 TB of streaming data per day. With Data Science and Machine Learning algorithms, N-iX engineers developed models for predicting satellite antenna failures. Read full case study.

Near real-time data streaming solution for a global data company specializing in media measurement and identity

Our customer, a leader in the data privacy space, specializes in evaluating the effectiveness of advertising campaigns based on geolocation data from different devices. It concentrates on two main directions:

  • a mobile app that allows users to share information such as geolocation, mobile device version, etc., and thanks to which they earn money;

  • a data processing solution. The customer’s model of evaluating data processing had several defects that caused a negative impact on cooperation with clients. The N-iX team built a new geolocation algorithm, set up CI/CD pipeline, and used Amazon Kinesis Data Streams for near real-time data processing. Explore N-iX case studies.
