N-iX proposed moving Koppert onto a Claude Team subscription and running adoption as a structured program. The team began with three high-value tasks rather than introducing AI across every activity at once.
N-iX selected these tasks using two criteria: whether the work involved enough manual effort for AI to contribute meaningfully, and whether it was close enough to the codebase to improve quality as well as output.
- Unit tests, with Claude Code. Koppert’s engineers write and extend test suites in the branches they are already working in. This enables tests to be developed alongside code changes. A test-driven-development skill sets the pattern, while code-review and conventions-review skills help generated tests meet the same standards as hand-written tests.
- Test-case authoring, with Cowork. Koppert’s QA team uses Cowork to create Azure DevOps test cases. Smoke and regression suites are assembled from existing coverage, helping maintain focused test suites that teams can use confidently in release workflows.
- Business analysis with Cowork. Koppert's analysts work through requirements, specifications, and the blocked-functionality picture across the market rollouts.
Three Koppert developers were put on the Anthropic certification track. To measure the program, N-iX built a pipeline that reads Azure DevOps every Monday and publishes a dashboard, including real executed-line coverage, since no such measurement existed before.
Alongside the three use cases, N-iX built a shared library of team skills covering spec-driven development, code review, conventions review, and release and hotfix flows. N-iX also established an internal adoption champion to support the program day to day.
The skills connect to Koppert’s existing workflow through eight MCP integrations, with Azure DevOps as the system of record. Test cases created in Cowork, code reviews supported by Claude Code, and releases triggered through the hotfix skill use the same source of truth.
