Driving innovation in e-mobility with smart digital solution development

The client aimed to expand their services by developing a companion application that could be integrated with the handlebars of electric motorcycles. The company was looking for an experienced software development partner with extensive experience in the automotive industry to help them build a flexible and reliable solution that could also be easily scaled to other vehicles.

N-iX helped the client develop an automotive Android-based application that manages e-bike functionalities. It also provides the rider with a wide range of information:

• Real-time speed, distance traveled, and battery charge;
• Detailed ride history with various statistics such as average speed, total distance, elevation gain, etc.

To ensure real-time data exchange, we enabled the integration of the app with bike handlebars via Bluetooth.

Additionally, our engineers have incorporated GPS navigation into the app that provides turn-by-turn directions. It allows riders to set waypoints and add locations to their Favorites for quick access.

Finally, to bolster vehicle security and prevent theft, we have added a remote lock/unlock feature for the bike engine.
