Near real-time data streaming solution for a data privacy company
Our client is a leader in the data privacy space who specializes in evaluating the effectiveness of advertising campaigns based on geolocation data from different devices. Our partner needed to improve the evaluation of advertising campaigns as they faced several challenges with data delay, developing a new algorithm for mapping the geolocation data, determining locations and specific IDs, and processing an extensive array of data.
Together with the client, we implemented the data ingestion mechanism from mobile devices by exposing the Gateway API and Amazon Lambda processing data. We started with Amazon Kinesis Data Streams and continued with Kafka’s distributed streaming platform for near real-time data processing. Also, we improved the geolocation algorithm, and set up the CI/CD pipeline. This has helped our customer achieve their business goals efficiently by finding the most cost-effective solutions.
End-to-end Cloud transformation and migration to microservices for TuneIn
TuneIn is one of the most widely used audio streaming platforms with 75 million monthly active users worldwide. The service offers live news, sports, radio, music, and podcasts to the global audience. Based in the USA, the company has users in 197 countries and counts for 400 million listening hours monthly.
In terms of their digital transformation, TuneIn decided to move the platform to AWS as well as migrate the monolith architecture to microservices. Our client wanted to leverage the cloud and obtain the benefits, such as better availability, security, performance, and improved customer experience.
Together with the client, we have performed end-to-end cloud transformation. We tackled various performance issues, enhanced existing high-load APIs, and ensured high scalability of the solution. Also, our team migrated the platform’s core functionality from Windows to Linux machines, which is now managed by Kubernetes, so it increased portability and greatly improved scalability. We also created a new subscription solution with updates in real-time, improved the usability of subscriptions, and added new features like Alexa Skill Account Linking that unified the subscription approach and simplified user experience.
