The client aimed to improve business efficiency, agility, and modernization by switching to a new Digital Business Support System (DBSS). This would bring several key advantages as compared to the legacy BSS setup:

  • Consolidating systems: business operations would not need to rely on multiple applications, each requiring separate support, licenses, and specialized expertise, reducing complexity and costs;
  • Accelerating time-to-market: launching new products or services would not demand manual, time-consuming updates across multiple systems, making innovation faster and less resource-intensive;
  • Enabling cutting-edge digital capabilities: the new system would be able to easily utilize the latest technologies and introduce modern features, enhancing the ability to deliver next-generation digital experiences to customers.

N-iX helped the client transform their legacy BSS solution by participating in all stages of development, from planning and analysis to design, architecture, and implementation.

We began by assisting in the tender preparations and evaluating third-party BSS solution suppliers. We also helped with eliciting business requirements and project planning. Our experts conducted a business needs and gap analysis and part of the solution verification phase.

Next, we helped design integration planning and execution with the existing systems. N-iX led the business process reengineering to align with new BSS capabilities, and defined the data migration strategy to support system transition.

During the implementation phase, N-iX managed the backlog and set up processes with external vendors. We oversaw end-to-end BSS transition to modern systems, executed the data migration strategy, and ensured successful implementation. We also governed delivery processes, ensured solution compliance, and facilitated change management to support the implementation of the new BSS.

Our engineers designed and reviewed BSS architectures, developed integration architectures for multi-vendor BSS environments, and created API strategies that connected and enhanced the overall BSS ecosystem.
