About Epic MegaGrant

Launched by Epic Games in March 2019, Epic MegaGrant is designed to support creative, noteworthy, and innovative projects that revolve around Unreal Engine, as well as projects that enhance the open-source 3D graphics ecosystem.

Our Plans for the Grant

Previously, N-iX Game & VR Studio launched an Unreal Engine course at Lviv Polytechnic National University for students majoring in Software Engineering. Epic Games’ Unreal Engine is the world’s most open and advanced real-time 3D tool that is changing the game market right now. Our goal was to help universities with modern technologies and expertise, to make the learning process more relevant, as well as grow a new generation of creative and capable professionals. Our Senior Unreal Engine developers have shared their hands-on game development experience with talented students of Lviv Polytechnic, some of whom have already received offers from our studio after the course.

We plan to use Epic MegaGrant to expand into a full-fledged training center where young people in Lviv will be able to receive high-standard Unreal Engine learning. We could not be more grateful to Epic Games for supporting this endeavor!

Game dev has the potential to become one of the leading industries in the country, as well as play a decisive role in the rebuilding of Ukraine. That’s why we firmly believe that investing in education is investing in a better future for our country.
