Description

The Dark Pictures Anthology is a series of cinematic horror video games developed by Supermassive Games and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The Devil in Me is the fourth game in the series and the Season One finale.

The game features a group of documentary filmmakers who receive a mysterious call inviting them to a modern-day replica of H.H. Holmes’ “Murder Hotel.” But on arrival, the crew soon discovers they’re being watched and even manipulated, and suddenly there’s much more at stake than just their ratings!

Our Contribution

N-iX Game & VR Studio team joined the game production from the very start. As of now, our Unreal Engine developers have contributed to almost every new mechanic there is in The Devil in Me. These include the locomotion system, various puzzles and animations, inventory, QTE and dioramas, etc.

Together with the Supermassive Games team, our developers improved a complex bot system that can play the game from start to finish, and we made sure that there are no blockers. This system significantly facilitates the QA process and is vital for delivering a highly-polished end product and an immersive, bug-free cinematic experience for players.

Project Status

The Devil in Me is scheduled to be released on November 18, 2022, and our work on the project continues.

We appreciate the incredible inclusivity that Supermassive Games demonstrate toward the N-iX team and how they perceive our developers as a part of their in-house team. On our part, we do our best to deliver a high-quality result, and as of now, our team is looking forward to playing this game masterpiece.
